Windows NT

Recommended Posts

MS had two OS paths that until XP were generally aimed at either home or buinsess users.

Starting with Win 3.1 you go to Win 95, Win 98, Win 98SE, Win ME, Windows XP Home.

Or you to to Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP Pro.

XP was in some ways supposed to bring the home and business markets together. Windows 2000 and to some extent XP are said to have been built on 'NT technology' which has the benefits of being much more secure and stable than Win95/98/ME ever was.

Windows NT is NOT Windows XP.
