Besty
TrillianWith so many different chat mediums such as MSN Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger, ICQ and IRC available today, there needs to be a single unified program for people to communicate with. With Trillian, all these chat networks are combined into a powerful, easy to use program. Trillian currently supports AIM, ICQ, MSN Messenger, IRC, and now Yahoo Messenger. The program can be skinned and has an easy to use modern interface. Additional features include file transfers, Mail and Message Alerts, EmotiSounds and more. The BEST multi-network messenger you can find!

kd5
I've used Trillian for quite some time, saves having all those pesky messengers on my machine. Only bad thing is you pretty much sacrifice webcam capabilities with it, but since I don't do much of that anymore it doesn't really bother me.Just make sure you keep up with the patches. Redhat
I use it instead of AIM, which I hate. I use MSn 6 for MSN and Yahoo6 for Yahoo though.. prefer them to trillian.
kd5
I have Yahoo on my machine but I never use it. They say the file transfer capabilities of Yahoo IM aren't that great, that AIM and MSN are better for that. If I ever find that Trillian won't satisify my needs I'll consider the alternatives. As it is, I ought to just uninstall Yahoo. I never even use it... :P -kd5-
