scootr
My son was on his laptop, it is a Dell Pentium 4 with Windows XP, and was on AOL. A popup came up with a mouse on it that said "You are using AOL and AOL sucks, and you are on Windows XP and I have a lot of time on my hands, and he was suddenly booted off of AOL. He could not sign on again, and then when he would turn his laptop on it wouldn't be able to detect household current, but only the battery and the battery could not be recharged. Suddenly it could not tell it was hooked up to the outlet. Can someone help me?
nellie2
Are you saying that you are unable to boot the laptop up now using either the mains lead or just the battery?
Scarecrow Man
So, your cannot get the computer to start, because your battery is dead, and have no way to recharge it.and If you do get it to start, you cannot get on the internet.Contact Dell, first and see if they can help you with your power problem, then contact AOL and tell them what happened. It almost sounds like a trojan or some sort of attack. Make sure you do a virus scan, and maybe post a HijackThis log.
