Umop Posted July 14, 2004 Report Share Posted July 14, 2004 Hi All,I wonder if you can help me out. When I go to shutdown windows XP pro on my computer, i need to hit the shutdown button twice. After the first time it looks like it will shutdown, but comming back a few mins later, it is still all running.There is nothing running in the background or on the taskbar that would stop it from shutting down,(it would give a close program message anyways).This is very annoying, so if anyone can help that would be much appreciated.Cheers. Scarecrow Man Posted July 14, 2004 Report Share Posted July 14, 2004 I have the problem of shutting down sometimes, but mine just plain doesn't work. and I have to press restart button.Make sure all other users are logged off. Also try booting, go into an account (make a fresh one would be best) and see if it does it from there.Also do an Ad-aware scan, and make sure you check for viruses.
