hi

i want people to be able to write and save to a folder on our network but when the saving is over i then want that file to become read only so that they cannot change it but can still read it. [for people to write to the drive they must also be able to modify it which in effect means that they can alter the documents or files at any given time] i've checked windows xp and win 2000 server permissions and security articles on the internet but cant seem to find what i'm looking for.

anyone have any idea or could point me in the right direction or am i banging my head against a brick wall?

thanks in advance
