-pops-
Oooerrr! What I usually do in cases like that is remove the program and re-install.
expertec
Done that now, no improvement. :(I tried the Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode) from the start menu as well.... nothing.
-pops-
 System Restore?Have you been nobbled? Try a HJT
expertec
Well, my HJT log is clean. :o It's only since last night (downloading SP2 maybe ) that it's not working. I'll try a System Restore, if there are any restore points.
expertec
I restored it to a system checkpoint created yesterday evening for a time I know it was working, but that hasn't fixed it.
-pops-
I downloaded SP2 through Firefox OK.Very strange!Got a system backup you could use?
expertec
That system restore didn't help with Firefox, (but it did mess up the new Ad-Aware installation) so I reversed it.System backup... no :whistling:
expertec
:woohoo:Sometimes computers just need booting! Uninstalled, reboot, install, boot again, runs fine! :D No idea why that happened? :(
-pops-
Oops!Very surprised you don't have a backup available.I make a new backup every time I make an alteration to an application to my machines - even something a safe seeming as Ad-Aware. I'm not saying that Ad-Aware is responsible but that I would have made a B/U just in case. When you come to install SP2, make sure you do have a full system backup as there is a multitiude of things that could go wrong.
