Guest misters Posted March 18, 2003 Report Share Posted March 18, 2003 I know this is a word proscesser file, the problem i'm having is i cant open a document saved in this is there any way i can access the data onthe floppy given to me in another program, even though it was saved as a wps file extension?thanx in advance. You may lose some of the formatting, but it should give you access to the text within.I'm pretty sure a wps file is a microsoft works text document, so another option if you have ms office or word, would be to make sure that you have all the converters installed and try to open the file with word. A quick search on the ms site produced this works 2000 for word 2000 converter, but there are probably more available.If the above fail to work, make a copy of the file, and change the extension to .rtf , this may work as well.Good luck. Guest misters Posted March 19, 2003 Report Share Posted March 19, 2003 Cheers guys i thing the convertor cracked it and the by right clicking the file while holding down the shift key gave me the option open with, so i just opened it in word.Again thanx.
