She wants to keep the name simple so that it is easily remembered. She wants 'Her name followed by yoga.com'. Where would she register such a site please? The snag with that is that the name would not be as simple. She wants to avoid 'name yoga at feeserve etc etc'. So she wants to investigate this avenue before using freeserve. Sir Radfordin Posted September 17, 2004 Report Share Posted September 17, 2004 I would suggest she used 1&1 (www.oneandone.co.uk) to register a domain name and then point this to the freespace with an ISP.I personally don't have any problems with 1&1 and have a range of packages with them for several people/domains. It costs about $8 per year but it very reliable, easy to use and secure. They will update it automatically. Once registered, you can use their simple online facility to point your DNS anywhere you like., Xyoga.com.You can practise setting up a site by opening a free account with netfirms.com. The name would then be Xyoga.netfirms.com I did this for a couple of years and then bought a netfirms professional account . That's about sixty quid per year but there are loads of features. You probably wouldn't need all that. Your name would then be simply xyoga.com Anytime you wanted to change your site host , just do so and then go back to GoDaddy and point your DNS to your new host.
