nfadywin
I have windows xp. I know if I have a short cut icon on my desk top I can use the short cut key by selecting the key in its properties. Why does it only work if the short cut is on the desk top? Scarecrow Man
Likely because windows uses a lot of differen't "shortcuts" throughout it's GUI (Graphical User Interface) For example, on the desktop Press F3 and it brings up a search, but in Internet Explorer, it brings up the search tab within IE. There are however some global hotkeys.Take a look here.
