Gagaman
I'm trying to setup a IPBboard on the lan of my school. We are trying to get a central point were communication between teachers, secretarys and directors is possible and where data is accessible. So I thought a board could be ok for that. Everything is working fine. But I've a question. We have quite some word and excel files that should be accessible for the teachers. Is there a way to make a direct link to them within the board. I was thinking something like a link to a website.I tried by adding the path to the document(same way like you add the url of a website), but that doesn't seem to work. Its not an option to use a shared folder orso, first off because their alot of files, so you still have to search for the file you want. Second because some files should not be accessible for everyone.
Agent Smith
Hello gagaman, before you go to far with the board, have you considered using something like moodle? Moodle is free and gaining quite a following in the education sector, and I think it will do everything you want, plus more. It just needs an apache box to run on. Details from Click HereMr. M.
