Where has my toolbar gone?

When i log onto my user account my toolbar is there as expected. However, when i start to use say an internet application plus playing a game i find that when i come out of the game my toolbar has disappeared? very weird.... Any idea what this is?

There is another thread running with a similar sounding problem as this one :(

First of all, if you hover your mouse cursor at the bottom of the screen, does it change to a double ended arrow? If yes, click the mouse and lift the toolbar back to where it should be. If no, we have another difficult problem.
