Gagaman
At the moment I have a dualboot win2003server-winxp.Because I never use the win2003, I want to delete it. Not sure how to do it.At the moment, when I boot my pc, i can choose to run the win2003 or the winxp. Is it ok to just format the partition with win2003?Will my puter automatically start xp then? --> I don't want the dual boot option anymore. Chris
More info if you would.Which operating system was installed first?Which drive letters are associated with which operating system.Using one hard drive or two? Please provide a view of the boot.ini file enclosed with the tags. Gagaman
WinXp was installed first. Both are on 1 HD which is divided in 2 partions.. WinXP is on the C-partition, Win2003 is on the G-partition.Don't know how to copy the boot.ini, so I added a screenshot. Hope thats ok. Scarecrow Man
If you have boot.ini on the XP partition (unhide system and hidden folders, it's on the root of the drive C:), remove the windows 2003 line and format the partition it is installed on. You should have no problems.
