expertec
I'm sure I posted this already... I want to set different default browsers for the different user accounts on the PC, some IE some Firefox. Is this possible? When I set one or the other, it is set for all the accounts.

djohn
I have only the one account so can't say for certain but think you can set separate browsers for each user. Why not try it and see, its easy enough to set them back again if required. :)
expertec
I already tried, and it set for all the accounts. :(
djohn
Not sure if there is a way round it then expertec. Easy enough to use as it is though. I have IE6 set as my default and I've been using Firefox for the past few days. While I'm still trialling Firefox I have not set it as the default browser so every time I use it I get the reminder dialogue box, just click on No to the request to make default, then carry on using as normal. Cpt James T. Kirk
someone else on another forum asked the same thing and no you cant set different browsers as default. you can only have one set as default and thats for all users. doesnt mean you cant use another browser if you want on one user and the other 2, 3 people use another. but only 1 browser can be set as default at any 1 time. and i did try the ff once and it was not set as default. my ie was set as default and the install of ff made changes i did not want it to, so i jus got rid of it. but thats jus my experience with ff.
