Shirley Crabtree
I'm getting quite frustrated with my download speeds lately. If I download files using IE6 the speeds are ridiculously slow:-Whereas,if I use flashget they are relatively OK:-I don't have spyware running,I'm virus free and I've tried repairing IE6 but it hasn't cured the problem.I KNOW I have some packet-loss but don't understand why Flashget can download at 70-80 Kbps and IE6 can only just muster 56k modem speeds.Connection is Blueyonder 768,OS is XP pro SP1.Anyone have any ideas? Shirl

Redhat
Reboot modem? If you are using a router, also reboot that, but only AFTER YOU HAVE TRIED REBOOTING THE MODEM AND YOU STILL GET THE SAME THING. By reboot i mean cut the power for a few seconds, maybe 10, and switch back on. Don't reset your router, as you will loosing all configuration. You reset by tghe reset button at the back, don't do this :)
