Guest ellas
just had a look in my add/remove and my nvidia file shows a whooping 271mb,even though I uninstall 41.09 there still there in a folder and theres 3 nforce folders including 2.00 which is 89mb the latest is 2.03 ,does xp keep these for rollback or what or is it safe to delete these folders. mark2
Try creating a folder to store them in as a temporary measure, and move them to there, remember where it is and where they came from. Then see if you have any graphics/sound etc probs.keep them there, whilst you give the system a thorough test if any problems you can simply put them back where they came from.Or use drive image/ghost or some other imaging s/ware then delete them and see how things go.Will explore my other system tomorrow and see if I have an excess of nforce files too
Guest ellas
the nforce are the mobo drivers, theres 2 detonator drivers the latest ones and 41.
mark2
If the nforce folders are mobo I would leave them alone then.Have a look in the 41.09 folder and see if there is a setup.exe in there if so you should be able to remove it safely as your current drivers are obviously working
Guest ellas
odd the 41.09 folder contains 144 files while the latest 43.45 contains only 38,best leave alone I suppose.43.45 is the driver which is installed in device manager.
