raw
Hi guys At present i am using windows 2000 but i wish to go back to using ME (it seems to work better with my programs and hardware) Is there a way to install ME over 2000 and keep all my work files were they are with out having to copy them and start from new. 2000 was installed first i have tried ME disk but was told that i am using a higher verison. Is there a way around this or is it a clean start???Thank you
nellie2
I don't think you can 'downgrade' by installing ME over the top of W2K. I think it is going to be a case of saving your data and doing a fresh install of ME.Although if anyone knows any different then please shout up. :)
gerald
I believe you could have Windows 2000 and ME on your computer at the same time. Then you could choose which one to run and see which one really operates the best with your games and things.
spikeychris
You cannot install Windows Me over any version of Windows NT.
scuzzman
NT* runs on NTFS - a FAT32 drive can be converted from FAT to NTFS quite easily, but backward conversion is impossibleWhen you repartition, you'll lose everything... sorryback it up - reformat and reinstall
