don't ask
Anyone give us any clues please -Son has P2-450 machine with Win 98 1st edition and for past year or more has been running an Epson C60 printer (USB connection).Recently it would only print intermittently - anyhow it ended up with a download of drivers from the Epson site and meantime the original Epson software was uninstalled. The downloaded drivers were then executed (printer drivers and Status Monitor). When unzipping the printer drivers PC reports successful - then when Status Monitor driver unzipped a box says that the printer drivers aren't there.Don't know what has gone wrong - son can't find any mention of Epson software in the Add/Remove Programs box.Could it be that it isn't the printer software causing problems, but rather it is the USB cable or even the USB port gone faulty?I have suggested various things to son - but nothing worked. He is getting a bit upset now because his wife has a college project she needs to print out and submit.Any words of wisdom please? andsome
I have always found the Epson helpline staff to be VERY helpful on the telephone. Why not try this as a first port of call? The charge is at normal rates, NOT premium rates.
