WorkPerson Posted December 14, 2004 Report Share Posted December 14, 2004 I have a Win2000 workstation on an NT4 domain. When any domain user logs onto this PC, the logon script does not run - no error message - no event messages. The user must login to the network domain, with the network userid, then the script should run.Or maybe I misunderstood your question/situation...? homecomputeraid Posted December 14, 2004 Report Share Posted December 14, 2004 We have a mixed domain here with NT/2000/XP (and other) PC's. The logon scripts on the NT Servers seem to run for the NT/2000/XP machines. It's probably a good idea to make sure the 2000 machine is joined into the Domain. scuzzman Posted December 14, 2004 Report Share Posted December 14, 2004 Also - I can't remember right off the top of my head, but there is a way to disable logon scripts on a 2kpro box - I think it's under the System Properties dialog - but don't quote me on that. WorkPerson Posted December 15, 2004 Author Report Share Posted December 15, 2004 More info: The script is certainly not running, minimized or otherwise; (I've put in an NET TIME command and then change the workstation clock so I can tell if it has run). The wokstation is recognized by the PDC as a Windows NT 5.0 Workstation.to Scuzzman: The previous user has left the company - he may have disbaled logon if that is possible, do you know any more on this?
