I'm a newbie so please forgive if i don't do the norm.

I have a small problem with my internet connection. Basically for 3 or 4 days i gain access to the internet no problem. Then i get an error message stating i don't have a connection. When i then go into TOOLS - INTERNET OPTIONS - CONNECTIONS ,the radio button NEVER DIAL A CONNECTION is selected. So i change the radio button to ALWAYS DIAL MY DEFAULT CONNECTION and i then apply it. This gets me online but a few dayls later the same old problem occurs with NEVER DIAL A CONNECTION being selected. Anybody help me, I have up to date anti virus software,

thanks,

scott rennie :(

But that means everytime before i go online i must change the internet connection which is an inconvenience. I just want to click 'connect' and then go online,

scott

as i said, mine is set to never dial and all i do is hit my netzero icon and the start and im online. i never had a prob. it sounds like theres something else giving you a prob. have you run any spyware prgs? adaware SE spybot S&D ans use spywareblaster?

The problem I think is related to convenience. The "Always dial my default connection" works an average of 30% or the time. You should ALWAYS open your connection, click connect, then open IE. In all actuality, you shouldn't use internet explorer period, as it's a security risk, but that's another story for another time.
