I'm about to reformat my hard drive and have greatly narrowed down what I need to save prior to this, but one of the files, actually the America's Army exe file, is 733 mb...to big to burn to a CD-R. Is there any way I can partition this with a program, burn it to 2 CD-R's, then un-partition it back with the program after I reformat my hard drive? Thanks so much....

oh..i greatly apprecitate advice and help, but dont bother suggesting i buy a DVD burner etc.. or nething else that costs $$ lol.....THANKS!

The Windows Backup utility may also be able to compress your file sufficiently to get it on a CD-ROM.  Don't know if it can break up the backup file in multiple parts if still too large to fit a CD-ROM.

As far as I know it cannot.

Come to think of it, WinAce can split and concatenate files, has a very good compression ratio, and is free for like 30 days.

Come to think of it, WinZip can split and concatenate files; 9.0 has a very good compression ratio, and I think is also free for 30 days.
