Spader Posted January 13, 2005 Report Share Posted January 13, 2005 My hdd worked perfectly with my old mobo (A7N8X), but since I upgraded to an ASUS A8V Deluxe and an AMD 64 3500+ S939, the entire system has been running very slowly, and reinstallation of Windows XP Pro has been impossible.The hdd has been tested on other AMD-64 comps - the result has been the same. It works without any trouble on an nForce2-comp though. Diagnostic tests show nothing.Does anyone know of a hardware conflic between the Hitachi 7K250 120 Gb hdd and the AMD 64 platform?
