Hey im in XP PRO

IE 6

When i click on Favourites on the top menu

Sometimes my favourites expand into thier sub folders and links as they should and i can access the subsequent URL links. No problems

SOMETIMES however the arrows disappear and i have to click on each and every favourites folder seperatley and then an explorer window opens up showing the content of the favourites folder and i have to choose the links manually one by one

I estime a problem with the SHELL or CONTEXT? it comes and goes

if i restart IE it usually goes back to normal

also if i have 2 IE windows open the problem only appears in one of them (the neweest one)

Have you updated Microsoft latest fixes? On 02/08/05 one of the "must do" updates was for Internet Explorer.

"Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer (867282), Version #1. It's written up in MS Security Bulletin M505-014."

In addition, I strongly recommend that you download Microsoft Baseline Security Analyser (MBSA). It provides you, the administrator, the ability to audit all of your software to determine if its in compliance. If not, it will tell you which items are not in compliance and how to make modifications to the suspected problems.
