joker
Hello,it's the second time that this server reboots without reason.I tryed to analyze crash minidump with debug tools. In attach event viewer errors and crash details.Do you think it's a ram problem?Crash dump talk about two crash reasons..but you can find details reading logs in attach.A preview:Probably cause of first crash : memory_corruptionProbably cause of second crash : ntkrnlmp.exeAny idea? Thanks in advance,Joker.details.txt
homecomputeraid
Hi Joker, welcome to the forum!Unfortunately, memory problems can be sporadic and difficult to detect. Your memory can pass system memory checks but still be bad.If you have more than one DIMM, you can remove one, boot on just one, and see whether the problem still occurs. If it does, try the other DIMM. If it occurrs with both DIMM's, try a different slot. Whether the memory is single or in pairs depends on your processor. These procedures may help you save some time and $ by isolating which DIMM(s) or slot(s) are bad before buying memory. Please be sure to observe anti-static procedures (use a grounding wrist strap, and keep the chassis grounded, and put the DIMM's directly into anti-static bags once they're removed). joker
Thanks a lot, i will try to do this operation.A question: can,in your opinion, this problem be related with a Kernel pool corruption or a driver incompatibility? scuzzman
It could, but probably not. Most likely the kernel is hitting a bad spot in RAM and crashing there. I'd be looking at the RAM modules.
