maudibe
Great board, interesting ppl, and the guides were very helpfull for setting up the dual boot of my pc, only now I have a problem which requires some attention and hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction, a little pc setup first though..win98se first / xp pro second / fat32 systemI use the first part for mainly gaming and the second part for apps. The situation...With a dual boot system is it possible to either share a printer from one os to the other or is it possible to install the printer on both. This complicated just thinking about it  My internet connection runs through win98se and so do some other programs which would like the use of the printer, however when setting up xp pro it automatcally setup my printer in the second boot area. Now I can look forward from c: into xp but I cannot print anything and for some unknow reason and by god I've tried it will not allow me to install the printer in win98se.Please please please.....! any idea's
homecomputeraid
I think the printer's actually installed in the registry of the running OS. I don't believe you can share between them. You can access files (since you're using FAT32) in both partitions, but you'll have to install the printer into each OS.What kind of printer? Have you checked its web site for Windows 98 Drivers? If you need help in doing that, please post.Hope I answered that ok for you! :)
scuzzman
You can't share the printer per se, but you can install it on both OS'es...
