ibiza Posted January 31, 2005 Report Share Posted January 31, 2005 Hey All.I am having problems with a hard drive i have just purchased less then 3 weeks ago.It is a 120GB Western Digital (WD1200LB-55EDA0) and before that i had a 60GB. I cloned the 60GB onto the 120 so my os and everything will still be there it all boots fine. After 2days of uptime it freezes and jumps my only option is to reboot/power down. After try to boot up again my hard drive does not detect. I jump into the bios and everything is set on AUTO i click auto and it still will not detect. So i unplug the hard drive power cable inside the case of course plug it back in and boot up and it detectsAnyone have any idea's! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

scuzzman Posted February 1, 2005 Report Share Posted February 1, 2005 I'm going to concur with pops on this one - sounds like a bad HDD, althouh it could be a simply file-table problem, try a reformat/reinstall (NOT image/clone) before returning the drive.
