Tankus Posted April 13, 2003 Report Share Posted April 13, 2003 Just done the XP V4 update for Athlon processors last night .......My computer would not reboot until after 3 restarts....soundcard dissapeared....clock reset to 1999 ,and after manual resetting still will not synchronise with the atomic clock in Boulder..............Did a system restore to last week.......seems to have cleared most of the problems (after thinking I had pulled a lead out of my surround sound......bloody wirings a pig at the back of my two pcs...so it took a while ,before I twigged the problem was the MS recommended update )Its still not quite right ......strange beeping noises at boot coming from the motherboard..before full startup........Did it flash my motherboard....guess it must have if its a cpu update.......not sure how to change it back...as its before XP comes on..........ooooeeerr .......
