oceans11
I have 2 drives, a TDK 5100B CD-R/RW & a Toshiba DVDROM. Neither one can "Autoplay" anymore. Probably installed one too many media players. I'd really like to fix this because I plan on removing the TDK & replacing it w/ a Plextor 716A DVD burner. Like this problem straightened out first. Not only is media not recognized but the autoplay feature for software installs won't work either. In order to install anything I must choose "Run>D:\setup.exe". Yeah, that works but there's still something wrong. Can anyone help with this?

oceans11
Thank you for that link. I have obtained the app & will run it. If unsuccesfull, I'd earlier contacted TDK about this problem & this was their suggestion:" Autoplay and Autorun are registry entries. There are several programssuch as TweakUI that will allow you to change those easily. Any internetdownload site will have them."Is this true, and where might I obtained something like TweakUI? I don't have registry editing skills. Ya think this is smart thing for me to try?
