Awol
we have 3 new ThinkPad T23's at work, when we got them they were set on a resolution of 1400x1050, which was fine for me, but they are going out to some of our older engineers who dont have the best eyes or computer skills!but when i reduced the resolution on certain settings, like 800x600 which i want to give to them, the display was distorted, so i looked thorugh the bios and found an option to stretch the display to fit the screen, so i turned this off.however when i started it up again it only use a tiny part of the screen in the middle, so i looked through display properties and found an option to stretch it to fit the screen, but then this distorts it again?i have tried downloading the latest drivers for the screen, the display adapter and did a bios update thing but i still cant get it to stretch but not distort? nellie2
I'm not familiar with ThinkPads... but if the default resolution is 1400x1050 then I'm guessing that the screens are pretty big. I'm thinking that the notebook just isn't made for 800x600. Have you been in touch with IBM... they may be able to offer you a solution.
