Jayno
I have alaser printer connected to my PC thru port LPT1 which is the default printer and works fine. However, every time I boot up I get a window telling the computa has recognised this printer as new hardware, and it tries to prompt me to the installation wizard. I just cancel it and the window disappears, leaving me to get on with things and the printer always works fine.Any ideas what's happening team, and how to fix it?Jayno
Guest be@vis
Try letting the "Wizard" run - that often fixes this problem.

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Do you have the latest and greatest driver for that printer? Try to install a newer driver if available. Otherwise uninstall the driver (from Task Manager), then start afresh.
andsome
As a matter of interest, is the printer already switched on when you start up the computer? If so have you tried turning it off with it's own switch or unplugging it from the power?
Jayno
Thanks teamI have finally solved it by uninstalling the previous driver and downloading and installing the latest driver from Kyocera. Couple of restarts and the problem has disappeared, unlike the snow .....Jayno :flowers:
