Can't Install 16-bit program

Hi. Certain programs I try to install generate this message "Can't run 16-bit Windows Program. Cannot find file F:\APPLICATIONS\

101\SETUP.EXE (or one of its components), etc. Check to ensure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available."

I've seen this before but I can't remember what it means. I've had no trouble installing other programs (I guess they're all 32-bit programs). I ran a profile through Depends and in the middle of the output I got this:

GetProcAddress(0x77E60000 [KERNEL32.DLL], "FlsAlloc") called from "DEPENDS.EXE" at address 0x010394C8 and returned NULL. Error: The specified procedure could not be found (127).

GetProcAddress(0x77E60000 [KERNEL32.DLL], "FlsGetValue") called from "DEPENDS.EXE" at address 0x010394D5 and returned NULL. Error: The specified procedure could not be found (127).

GetProcAddress(0x77E60000 [KERNEL32.DLL], "FlsSetValue") called from "DEPENDS.EXE" at address 0x010394E2 and returned NULL. Error: The specified procedure could not be found (127).

GetProcAddress(0x77E60000 [KERNEL32.DLL], "FlsFree") called from "DEPENDS.EXE" at address 0x010394EF and returned NULL. Error: The specified procedure could not be found (127).

Sorry to put so much text here but if anyone could decipher this for me I sure would appreciate it.

If you have Win XP, that isn't unusual. But there should be an alternative way to let your apps run. Maybe someone has experience with the programs your talking about.

Can you try to run the install program in Win95 mode? Right-click -> Properties -> tab Compatibility -> Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 95.

Yes, this is going to require "thunking" of the processor, and will need ran in Win95 compatibility mode.
