Unstable
I have a computer with W95 on the master hard drive. I have bought a faster computer with a much bigger hard drive and put W98 on the hard drive. I want to put the hard drive from the old computer with W95 on it into the new computer as slave drive (because it has all my files etc on it). My question is this - will the W98 'hide' the slave drive because it detects it has another operating system on it, preventing any access to the files? Is there a way to stop it doing this? Agent Smith
Hi Unstable, as long as you have the new 98 hard drive set as master, and you set the 95 hard drive as a slave, then you should not have any problems doing this. In fact it is a common method of data recovery, used when operating systems go wrong.Mr. M.
Unstable
Thanks Mr. Invincible Mouse - I'll connect it up as you suggest and see what happens.
