Looks like this is gonna take the place of the war on Iraq ;)

Why all the slagging off? You either use the PCA forum, or you dont :)

I must be the most intelligent one here, I got out of PCA months before the rest of you. :P

I love this site, the humour, the friendship and the general total madness of it all. :D

ROME wasn't built in a day, brick by brick Craig is onto a winner.

Anyway, at least those aforemention persons of the non-stale site have no power over us here. :D :D

If you pop in again chaps.....'Hello'....'Goodbye'.

Whiz is right......PCA aim's I think , to make themselves a useful resource.

This is more of an on-line "community" .

Forfill's different needs.................not a competition.

The reason why I keep coming back here is because I like it ...the reason why I go to PCA is to use it......

Happy now with both..........

There is no doubt that the PCA site is a good reference site for people with computer/ retailer related problems. But it is not much good for a chin-wag or to post a picture on...Each to their own as they say...

Actually if FE thought about it...If he keeps getting "chatty "responses to some of the questions and answers ,he should post a link here .....It would make his job easier in the long run.

Damo stated that they have grown old (PCA)....Maybe that they have grown up ? ..there was a lot of talk last christmas about budget /circulation problems ..People who still read the mag must have noticed how much slimmer it has got compared to editions two or more years ago...advertising revenue is down condidearbly....... There has probably been many difficult meetings about how to control costs.....with a long hard look at the web site .............and what did they want from it...?

There are around 8 admin in this place to tidy up after 25 or so contributers (not that it needs much I guess because there aren't any "nasty"people here!)....But at the rate some of the posts were going in to the lounge probably required 24/7/365 monitoring .... A cost that needed to be controled.

The games room went the same way due to its informality and it was encouraging more "chatty"..or dare I say it "friendly" responses.

So I guess the end result is what they have now, from their point of view.

And why most of us are here ...from ours..

Cheers Craig.....for providing a home.

This issue does not annoy me as much now....all though I was annoyed at the time........because I don't particularly post or go regularly too other places/forums. As I don't feel part of a group or relaxed enough to say what I think.....Without getting "flamed"............(may get laughed at but not too bothered at that here )

I used to feel that way about the PCA site.

Now I just find it usefull...

Gandalfs, Mungos, and FE's posts pushed a button the other night...............because I felt that all the comments were aimed at us.(and its vehmence)......But then I thought back to how annoyed I was when my favourite parts of PCA site disapeared.................Plus ..thinking about it ...some of the posts Ive made in PCA (deleted mostly) directed at the PCA Web site because I did not like what they were doing, and I felt that there was an issue (in me, in reality ) over questions of loyalty and the feeling of being ostracised from a group.......That I thought that I belonged too..!

Not having being part of an online community before..........(which PCA used to be for me)

(maybe I should seek therapy...because its all somewhat trivial....but then perhaps I get my therapy here...because I can spout off ...under the illusion that somebody is taking notice, as if it matters !....Pre PC days it think I would have had a personal journal)

Arf arf

But now in the "cold light of day"...I feel somewhat amused.

We've moved on.

(or at least I have...I think........off to contemplate my navel now.)

When I grow up I'd like to have whizwrinklys attitiude.....and just chill..

Does anyone have any objections if I close this topic now?, I think Tankus has had the Last good comment and has spoken a fair amount of truth, TBH I already regret opening it in the first place!

I think it should be laid to rest!
