XP sound recorder

Hi guys,

just installed a mic to record my voice for my Spanish program. I can hear the sound through the speakers, but it wont move the audio line on the recorder window and it plays back with no sound. When I go to close window it asks the sound file has changed do I want to save it ?.

Mic shows in volume cont panel and is not muted, Windows sounds off, sound from everything else ie. CD, DVD, and music files. No yellow marks in device manager.

ASrock K758XE+ mb, Nvidia Geforce FX5200. gc

dont like the windows sound recorder as you can only record 30 seconds. There are loads of recorders out there. Look at the links below

I agree with madboy about the Windows effort on this - pretty useless.

Nice one pops, i have jetaudio, but didn`t know you could record from the mic till i just looked. I suppose i can set it as the default recorder somehow, cos i need it for a Spanish course where you can say the words into it and it tells you how the pronunciation is. :)
