Pop Up blocker disables Active X

The windows pop up blocker as many of you know, flashes an information bar that tells you that it blocked an active x scipt or anything and u can click on the bar to temporarily enable it to be run or u can go into settings and add the site so that it never pops up again.

Thats all fine and dandy and cool and everyithng and i dont really have aproblem with it EXCEPT we have this "program" at work that is just an html page with links to engine manuals that are in pdf form, apparently this takes some sort of acvtive x scripting to do bc it is constanlty blocked. it is very annoyinh to always click the info bar and say allow. At this point some of u may be saying "well add it to the unblocked list you silly goose", well heres the problem, its a local file and cannot be added? you can only add websites.

any one have any suggestions?? similar experiences? we cant just completely turn the blocker off of course nor do we want a third party proggy

Luckily, I figured it out this morning! Instead of thsi option being in the security section/tab, microsoft hid it in the advanced tab and i must have just whizzed by it not seeing it yesterday!

So for anyonje with a similar problem, go to advanced tab and go all the way down to the security section. The first two options should be allow active content to run form cd on my computer and allow active content to run from file on my computer.
