trackrat Posted March 14, 2005 Report Share Posted March 14, 2005 Is it possible to transfer the data off my old computer (32bit) to the new one I am building (64bit)The old one has XP home on it the new one will have XP Pro 64 bit Edition on it.If it is possible, can the transfer be done with a crossover cable. scuzzman Posted March 15, 2005 Report Share Posted March 15, 2005 It depends on what you want to transfer. If you're referring to media files (audio/video/etc) yes. If you're referring to your programs, it's better to reinstall them. You'll need to setup filesharing on the PC's, which can be done simply through a crossover cable.
