Ink Cartridge Out Of Red Colour....

Recommended Posts

Hi all ;) ,

Last June I bought 2 compatible cartridges for my printer from Choice Stationery because the ones I got with my printer were getting low. I have a HP 960C printer.

The service was excellent and quick ! Anyway.....My original HP cartridges eventually ran out in October (there's more in 'em than you think and they were showing 0% ink remaining for ages), so I switched to the Choice Stationary Compatible ones...They have been fine until the other day....

It appears that the red colour has disappeared from my colour cartridge? The HP software is still showing 30% colour and 60% black ink remaining in the cartridges, so either it has leaked somewhere or it hasn't been filled correctly in the first place!

I have emailed Choice as I am not satisfied with the cartridge.

All our compatible cartridges are made to the highest possible standards which is why we can offer a 100% guarantee.
If it shows 30% ink left and all the other colours (except red) are fine, then the red colour must be empty. I have tried to print red blocks of colour from Paint, and they come out yellow. Seeing as they offer a 100% guarantee, I feel I am entitled to a free replacement? The cartridge has only been in use for 5-6 months and is clearly faulty as the red has run out (and NO I don't print primarily red pictures  ). My Original HP cartridges lasted for 7 months and were the half filled sizes that you get with new printers.

I will let you know what happens when I get a reply from them...(fingers crossed) :P

I received a reply from Choice today. They gave me an 0845 number to ring and said that it sounded like a faulty cartridge.

I rang the number and was given a return address (Freepost) and told that they would send me a replacement when they received the faulty cartridge.

So I am going to post the package today.

The service has been excellent up to this point :D Well done Choice !

I agree about Choice. They stand by their promises. I had some unfortunate exoeriences with a compatible colour cartridge just before Christmas. They suplied a replacement as fast as the post alowed. The unfortunate part was that the replacement had a different problem and sot did it's replacement. I now have a fully working replacement. At no time was there any quibble about the replacements. All with the fastest turnround that the post allowed.

You're talking six or seven months for a cartridge to run out? :o Efinell! <_< They must be gallon sized, I wish I could get past a few weeks with mine. Then again, I do use a lot on photos & cards

Apart from that, I will give them a try, Jet Tec in my area seems to have doubled in price lately. Dunno why, it was always cheap (and good) everywhere until recently :(
