djohn Posted March 28, 2005 Report Share Posted March 28, 2005 When you say it did nothing before they installed the new drive, do you mean it did not work at all?If you've installed a new drive, have you formatted it and checked in the BIOS to see if it is enabled? It sounds as though you haven't, that is why its saying it can't find the hard drive, the drive will need to be recognised by the BIOS before you can install an operating system.
