TMF
If I go to "documents and settings" in "my computer", and then to "local settings", and then to "temp" folder, there are several files in there with names like: me_Kjowihfn2, me_augw, etc. Always start with an me_******. What are these? Are these .dat files? They are all 0-2 KB in size, but I cant delete them. They say they are "in use". Is it from "Ccleaner", which I use to get rid of unwanted space wasting files? Thanks!

Scarecrow Man
If you open my computer, click Tools > Folder options. Click the view tab, and uncheck "hide extensions for known file types. If they are exe files, they should be deleted and maybe run a virus scan.

You should delete them ....Windows has a way to keep those files for ever...And yes, there also could be worms and other malicious programs... And a malicious program does not necesarly have an .exe extension...There are executable files with the most wierd extensions in the world ...ex: cpl, bat, pif etc.... These are the most common...
