I have to give this speech in some hours.

The computer auto-erase all the content that i copy / install whenever I boot it so im not able to install my codecs and give the speech. It is like the computer goes back to a specific stage and erase everyth from the registry and even the HD.

The system is Win XP (not sure is SP1 or SP2)

What can I do??

Please help

Are you logging on as a user or a default account? Often times, the default account will not save anything, but this is usually used in large corporate enviroments with roaming profiles.

Also, do you have system restore enabled? If so, disable it to see if that solves the problem. To do so, Right-Click "My Computer" and go to the "System Restore" tab -- toggle the box to dis/enable it.
