Telewest Blueyonder Spam

I am on Blueyonder broadband and have noticed a dramatic reduction in spam Emails over the past 6 to 8 weeks.

I used to receive about 100 per day - but this is now down to single figures.

Is this because spammers are getting tired - or has Telewest at last introduced effective spam filtering.

Comments from other Blueyonder users would be appreciated.

I don't know the answer to your question Alan, but I've not received any spam at all with my Blueyonder account........never have.

Same here. I've been with Blueyonder a couple of years and I've never had any spam. I am pleased to say :)

Unfortunately - until about 18 months ago I worked from home as a Recruitment Consultant hiring engineers and executives into expat positions in the USA. Africa and Middle East. My Email address is on hundreds - if not thousands - of client and candidate address books.

I cannot easily change my Email address because I need to remain contactable by past candidates and clients and it would be very difficult for me to go through all my old recpords to advise everyone of a change in address. Even if I did, I would be back to square one with my new address in hundreds of address books.

Despite this exposure - McAfee, Adaware, Spybot and Spyware Blaster have managed to keep the computer free of nasties. Until recently I used Mailwasher to screen Emails but have found the junk filter in Outlook both effective and more convenient.
