thegooner
Just a small irritating glitch...In IE6 on my XP machine, the default IE icon that appears in the address bar is missing. All I get now is the "missing file" type icon.I believe these things are called favicons.I just want the deafult IE Explorer icon back. Can anyone help? Thanks
Scarecrow Man
A few things you could try...Open an explorer window, (C:) and click Tools > Folder Options. Click the file types tab, and change advanced properties HTM and HTML, changing the icon. The icon file should be shell32.dll (in C:\Windows\system32)Set Internet Explorer defaults. In IE - Tools > Internet Options > Programs. Click "Reset Web Settings" You dont have to reset your homepage. If neither works, try re-installing Internet Explorer.
