ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb Posted June 2, 2005 Report Share Posted June 2, 2005 Thank you for recommending my advice -pops- :flowers:You are talking about English Windows, I suppose?There are two different packages available for Windows XPThe language packs, which consist of fonts and the IMEsThe Multilingual User Interface (MUI), which effectively changes the look of Windows or applications to another language.The first one is part of Windows, and can just be installed from the XP CD-ROM. Check out my very old web pages for instructions how to install the language packs. And yes, you can have multiple IMEs at the same time, e.g. Japanese, and both versions of Chinese. You just switch between English, Japanese, Chinese Simplified, and Chinese Traditional.I have never used MUI, so I can't give you much details about it. Check out this link for more information (***). You can also do a search for "Multilingual User Interface" on the Microsoft website for additional MUI packs for Office, Messenger, Media Player, Movie Maker, Journal Viewer, etc.Let me know if this answers your question, or if you need more information.[Added]*** This may not be for the standard Windows XP, but for Windows XP Embedded. My day here is ending soon; it will be 19:00 in about 15 minutes - a good time to grab some dinner.This is one of the great things of this forum - although it is based in the UK, and most users are in the UK, there are many knowledgeable people from around the world. (Some seem to be here 24 hours a day :lol: ).
