Rebel=UK=
I used to use my old webcam as a security thing when i was out using Active webcam, but sometimes when i came back after a few hours the webcam sensor got to hot and the screen was all pink...which is not good. So i was thinking could i hook up a proper security cam like this little dome one: Ive seen them for about 15£ on ebay, these r the specs of it ...would they be ok?Pickup Device: 1/3”,1/4” picture sensorSystem: PAL/CCIR, NTSC/EIAValidity Pixels: PAL 582(horizontal) * 628 (vertical) NTSC 510*492Picture Area: 5.78*4.19mm NTSC 4.69*3.45Scanning Frequency:PAL/CCIR: 50Hz NTSC/EIA: 60HzHorizontial definition: 320-380 lineMinimum illumination: 3 LUXVoltage: 12V DCCurrent: 200mAPower consumption: <640MW

I would sugest one that has at least 25fps/channel... You might be interested in an IP camera... But be carefull: the camera should have it's own recording program.. Many of them use Internet Explorer only as a viewer wich is not that nice...
