humbletech99
I've got a really difficult error on a Windows XP Pro system when I tried to install MagicScan 4.6 to do network scanning with a UMAX PowerLook 1120 Scanner. I can't do network scanning. When I open Network Scanner Manager to configure it up I get the folling error message:Ncb_bridge field not 00 or 01.Try to select [NETBEUI] or [NetBios over IPX/SPX] to be the default protocol in network setup. NetBios driver Command 0x30 Error Code 0x23I've enabled NetBios over TCP/IP.I've installed NETBEUI and put it higher in binding order.I've even tried NWLink/NetBios compatible protocol.Still the same error when I start Network Scanning Manager. MagicScan itself opens when I try it, but it's useless without network scanning setup function.I've applied an XP patch from UMAX (PL1100XP_Patch.exe), no difference. I've uninstalled/rebooted/reinstalled so many times my head's spinning. I even unistalled, cleaned out registry and tried again. No change.I've installed quite a few of these on various systems her, no problems. This one is weird. Exhausted Ideas.Anybody help?
