ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I use Thunderbird 1.0.2 for my private email, using IMAP.I have no problems replying to email messages; everything works normal as with any other mail client. When I want to forward an email message, then everything is different. All header lines of the message are included in the forwarded messageThey are inside some red-colored table (even if I set the message to plain text).I can delete the header lines from within that red table, but after I send the message off, all original message text is also gone! This is just plain stupid! Or is it me? Anyone else getting this strange behaviour on TB message forwarding? Any way 'round it?
Scarecrow Man
perhaps this is what you are looking for?
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Thanks for the link! Setting the default to Plain Text already improves the situation a lot - the header lines are no longer presented in a table, and deleting the header lines leaves the original message body intact. The only additional thing I'd like is to not present the header lines at all when forwarding. Any additional suggestion?
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Myabe if I change mail.forward_message_mode and/or mail.show_headers in my TB prefs? Do you know where these option values are explained?Just tried it, and the following setting in user.js did the trickuser_pref("mail.show_headers", 1);The setting was 2 in prefs.jsStill, it would be useful to have a reference for all these settings. Thanks! :flowers:
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
user_pref("mail.show_headers", 1);No good; with this setting I cannot view any headers in TB, not only at forwarding. I had to set it back to
