Thanks for your thoughts rome.........I hasten to add that the following is just my personal opinion.

I would agree that there is a lot of jokes and silly stuff going on but to my mind it keeps the interest up when things are a bit slow.

As for pinching stuff from PCA.....well I cant speak for anyone else.......but the www is a big place and info is available to all. I have only taken something specific once and gave credit where it was due. ;)

well the humour sections do encourage the newer members to get involved instead of just lurking like so many do at pca .. i think it was there that nellie2 made her 1st post ;) and now she freely helps out other members in technical and other areas.. so the humour boards do have their uses :)

maybe it would be better to have just one off topic board though instead of 2 ?

rome, that is just the kind of posting which would attract the wrath of, and immediate locking by, the Forum Editor, criticism of PCA is not permitted). :o

as far as lack of computer related posts well what can we do about that,xp is almost foolproof I've just fitted a slave harddrive and xp made the formatting partitioning so easy a child of 5 could do it,I have 2 machines running xp and the problems are like non exsistent,I presume thats the same for other xp users and why theres also a lack of new posts on here and pca,the way things are going with xp and next longhorn theres going to be less and less problem posts and also why theres a drop in the sales of pc mags.

You need to drop the Operating system subs and just have one the forum for operating systems.

Some people do not know what o/s they have "so where do i post?"

Here goes:

Forum Related Topics (as it is now)

Windows Helproom (title can be changed to show this is where the computer help room is)

Buying Advice

The Game Zone

News

The Mad House

I do like the Service status but this aint no miltary operation...

Service Status

Level One: All systems go!

Level Two: Minor difficulties (should not interfer with the forum)

Level Three: Services may be inaccesiable to forum members (We apologise for this inconveince and were working towards a level one status)

"Gladiator Antivirus

Anything to do with Gladiator Antivirus / Security Labs.

Forum Led by: Moderating, Admin, GAV Moderator" - Unless these are a sponsor of this thread then say goodbye to it please...
