ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I have a Canon bubble jet printer at home - about two years old.Recently all print output has black streaks all over the page. I can imagine something needs cleaning, but I really don't know where to look. (Actually I haven't even attempted to look yet).Any advice for this situation? Thanks! r4may
I don't know specifically about Cannon but there should be a 'Clean' option in printer Tools (Options)
Scarecrow Man
Likely the Print Head. It's where you put the cartridges in. These are quite expensive, and buying a new printer is usually the more cost effective decision.Cleaning a printer can be a difficult task. Make sure you do not remove anything that is required for holding the printer together.Usually you can remove the cartridges, Print head, and lid to get a better view of things, then use cotton swabs and rubbing alcohol to clean the dirty area. Make sure to clean the print head, but do not touch where the ink comes out.
catgate
In which direction do the streaks run, and is the printing complete or is it broken up?
