Enlarged Icons

Hi

I have a laptop at school that is networked. I was working on it as 'user' when i opened up a program. When I had finished with it, I closed it down as normal and found that it had changed my settings by making everything really big. As I was using 'user' I didn't have the authority to change anything. So I went in as admin, did system restore, checked the settings and it is still the same. The desktop on admin is normal but on user everything is still really big.

Can anyone help me.

You said you logged in as admin, how did you manage that.

Logged off as user and logged on as admin. I know the password of admin as I work with the IT teacher but he doesn't know how to fix it either!! Admin desktop is normal and when I log back in as user the icons are for a fraction of a minute normal then they disappear and come back very big.

Have you tried setting up another guest-user account to see if that has the same problem.

No I haven't tried that one. I will give that a go tomorrow morning when I get into school. I just hope I don't have to end up having to restore the computer using the cd's, not a good job when you have loads of work on it.

It's a shame it's not going to be something simple!!!
