Alan2273
If I click on my computer and right click either of my two hard drives the computer reboots. They are both Maxtor 80gb SATA drives.Right clicking on any of the other drives, ( USB 2 external hard drive, ZIP drive, USB2 floppy/card reader), causes no problems.I also tried going in through my computer/manage/disk management and as soon as I right clicked ckicked either of the two drives it rebooted.I sent an error report to Microsoft and the reply came back that it was a device driver that was causing the problem but could not elaborate on that.I am running XP home and tried a system restore to no avail. Can anyone point me in the right direction. AlanHo
Have you downloaded the latest drivers from the Maxtor site. I have two Maxtor 120 Gb SATA drives - not in RAID format - and have no problems.

Alan2273
Tried BIOS defaults and same problem.I dont think it is virus related as I keep my comp clean and the anti virus , firewall and spyware programs are all kept up to date.A report back from Microsoft said it was a device driver that was causing it.
