I set up the FTP on my computer using the IIS feature; I'm using sygate personal firewall on my computer. I typed ftp://<ipaddress> on my computer and it works, but not on the network. korgg Posted July 15, 2005 Report Share Posted July 15, 2005 If the local test was OK, then the chances are that the firewall is the one with the problem...I never used Sygate (in fact other than iptables nothing else), but there should be a place there where you can allow access to your ftp server...How did you test it: ftp://127.0.0.1 ?? scuzzman Posted July 16, 2005 Report Share Posted July 16, 2005 You'll not want to keep your firewall disabled :(Be sure to open toe firewall config (Program Control, or something similar) and allow the client access to both reach the internet (actual transfer) and act as a server (it needs a data port).
